The headline is deceptive, it might not really make you rich rich, however can definately help save you some cash :)
In the last post I spoke briefly on the top most golden rule of traveling - Travel light. I additionally told you to pay a visit to money belt bearing in mind the primary golden rule. I do hope you did that and refined your shopping list.
The 1st overseas trip I ever took with my family was when I was Fourteen. The holiday destination was India and this is in the late 1980's. My dad was a military colonel and mum had a small string of book shops. While father and mother started off planning the actual trip almost Six months beforehand, we read about the places we'd visit everyday. The 2nd golden rule for holiday travel is you got it - Plan in Advance!
My dad organized everything with mum using his military accuracy, lists were created, duties were allocated to me and my sister (who was elder by 3 years) 6 months prior to we're to travel. We had Three lists
General checklist - Where everything that everybody would need and utilize was detailed (tooth paste, nail clipper and so on)
Emergency List - Where doctor prescribed medicines, emergency numbers etc were listed
Personal Checklist - In which our own individual items that we'd like to bring were outlined (man! this list ended up being enormous!!!)
And then there were the responsibilities checklist. Dad would book tickets, visa, permission for him to travel (he was serving then), Mum would take care of the prescription drugs, doctor visits, clothing, me & Emily were required to research places we wanted to visit. All Emily wanted to do was find out snake charmers & princes (: )!!), me I desired to look at the Mount Everest & ride elephants. We were so far removed from actuality (well considerably far!)
The point I am attempting to make here's, if you are traveling internationally for a family trip, plan as early as possible. Write every little thing down in Two-Three lists and then begin weeding items that are non-essential. I am sure you don't have to bring 5 different types of moisturiser. You will need a sunscreen and a moisturizer.
We're assigned merely 2 bags; I got a duffel and a small backpack. Planning this early, resulted us in finishing all of our holiday needs and bags buying at the time of sales. This way I assume we managed to save nearly 40% of what we would have paid for had we waited until the last second. Congratulations, you understand why I sent you to money belts
This great site is focused on vacation needs and is my present favourite. In a month I have saved close to $650 on bags along with other travel need products.
Getting back lets summarize both travel rules we've learnt up to now
Plan in Advance
And reduce costs wherever you can! Until the next one, dream of your forthcoming family vacation!
